This is the most classic application for EVA tape. Applying a strip of EVA foam can fill the void, whether it is to address the excessive gaps in doors created by structural settling or drafts leaking through older windows.

When transporting delicate items( such as artwork or precision instruments), EVA foam tape is often applied to the inside surfaces of shipping containers to provide comprehensive, all-around impact cushioning.

What Should You Look Out for When Purchasing?

If you are planning to purchase EVA foamy tape, we recommend paying close attention to the following three key requirements:

Hardness:

EVA foam is available in different densities. If you intend to use it to seal door gaps, opt for a softer variety (one with high compressibility); however, if you need it to support heavy objects or provide elevation, you must select a high-hardness version-otherwise, it will eventually flatten and deform over time.

Adhesive Type:

Water-based, solvent-based, and hot-melt adhesives are common types available on the market. If you want to use the tape outside or in humid environments like kitchens, choose a solvent-based acrylic adhesive because it is more water and weather-resistant.

Thickness:

You can choose between 1 mm and 10 mm, or even more. When making your decision, adhere to the guidelines: "It is better to be slightly too thick than a millimeter too thin." Because foam is naturally compressible and offers sufficient sealing pressure, a slightly thicker alternative is advised.
